Love Party 2008 – The Love Train

I started the “Love Party”in 2006 as a party for friends, family and anyone in the community to promote love and kindness . After two successful parties, I decided that starting in 2008, the “Love Party” will be a fundraiser for a local Houston charity group. This year’s beneficiary is HATCH (Houston Area Teen Coalition of Homosexuals). HATCH provides many services including counseling supports and scholarships. It is a program through the Montrose Counseling Center. For more information on HATCH, please visit it’s web site http://www.hatchyouth.org

This years party will be on May 17, 2008 at 7:30 PM. Invitation is below.

Meteor is located at the corner of Genesee and Tuam/Fairview.  It is next to a small auto garage and the parking lot for it is next to the garage on Fairview.

The Performers

This year performers are Tribal Lillies, Yna Nova, China Doll and Christina Lee.  Yna Nova’s photo will be in Outsmart Magazine (outsmartmagazine.com) a Texas magazine for the “out” community.  Yna’s photo was taken by David Lewis, a professional photographer based in Houston www.davidlewisimages.com

 The Video Play List

Most of the videos that will be played before show time feature my favorite singer, Sandra Cretu.  She is my muse.  A disco singer at the age of 13 back in 1975, Sandra Cretu has evolved with time and is most well known as the “Voice of Enigma”. Enigma is a musical group she and her husband, Michael Cretu, created and its most famous songs are “Sadeness”and “The Return to Innocence”. I am more creative when I listen to her songs.  This is a photo of me and my mother at Vung Tau, Vietnam.  The photo was taken by my father back in 1966 or early 1967.
